The pilots of Bay Aerial Helicopter Service take guests soaring over the Golden Gate Bridge, Alcatraz, and other world-famous landmarks. Not only will you see magnificent views of San Francisco, but also many historical and hidden landmarks around the Bay Area.
Your flight begins at the San Carlos Airport onboard a four-seat Robinson R44 helicopter. Venture north past one of the busiest international airports in the country, SFO, then up the bay to see where the historic Candlestick Park was once located. As you continue up the shoreline you will have unsurpassed views of San Francisco and the East Bay before you fly over AT&T Park and the Bay Bridge. Head west over Alcatraz Island and the Palace of Fine Arts before approaching the Golden Gate Bridge which offers spectacular views and an incredible photo opportunity with San Francisco’s skyline as your backdrop. Then, fly south by the Presidio, the national park within city limits, and over Point Bonita, the historic Cliff House, and the Sutro Baths. Further south along the coast, look for seals dotting the scenery. You might also see an elusive whale or shark.
The flight continues further south past the town of Pacifica, the natural landmark Devil’s Slide, and Montara Beach, another place for whale sightings. Nearby is a marine reserve and the home of seals, starfish, coral, and anemones. Southward reveals the famous Mavericks surf spot that has yielded some of the largest waves on earth. The flight continues over the historic Princeton Harbor and the town of Half Moon Bay. Further south, you’ll see the unique grounds of the Ritz-Carlton Hotel on the cliffs and the pristine natural sea caves, beaches, and seals by the hundreds.
Depending on the winds your route may continue further south to lighthouses and more natural sea cliffs or turn inland over the untouched farmlands of San Gregorio to a panoramic view of the entire Bay Area from San Jose to Marin. Finally, you will return to San Carlos Airport, passing over multi-million dollar estates as well as Facebook, Google, Apple, and Silicon Valley for a breathtaking finale to an unforgettable ride.
