Private Tour and Tasting at Napa Valley’s J.J. Cohn Estate, Home of Cult Wine Label Scarecrow
Tucked deep within the rolling hills of Napa Valley you’ll find the Rutherford Vineyard Estate of Bret Lopez and Mimi DeBlasio, the founders of Scarecrow Wines. IfOnly opens the doors of this storied property for an intimate tour of the enchanting estate, complete with a tasting of Scarecrow’s cult-status wine.
Your visit will include a tour of the legendary J.J. Cohn Estate Vineyard, where the first vines were planted by Hollywood magnate J.J. Cohn himself in 1945. Cohn produced scores of beloved film classics, including “The Wizard of Oz,” from which the label Scarecrow received its namesake. Taste the 2013 Scarecrow and revel in the wine’s rich heady aroma and flavors brimming with verve and depth.
Also included in our tour is a behind-the-scenes look at the photography studio of Bret Lopez, a celebrated photographer who shot numerous advertising campaigns over four decades. You’ll be invited to select a signed photograph to keep and you’ll also leave with a lushly photographed two-volume book Flora and Fungi, whose subjects were gathered and shot on the estate property. This exclusive experience deep within wine country benefits WildAid.
