At IfOnly, we have the fortunate role of helping people's dreams come true--whether it be meeting their favorite athlete, learning to prepare a dish from a chef they admire, or connecting with a musician they idolize. Occasionally, the way an experience plays out is extraordinary, blowing even us away. Spencer's story is one of these.
Spencer purchased a meet & greet from IfOnly with Soundgarden frontman Chris Cornell while he was on his solo tour this fall. He and his mom entered the show and headed backstage where they met Chris and hung out and talked for 10 minutes or so. Spencer, a musician in his own right, talked to Chris about Seattle, his own music, and one of his favorite Soundgarden songs, 'You Know My Name.' Chris started talking with Spencer and they came up with a new arrangement of the song. But this is where something incredible happened. Chris invited Spencer to perform the song with him during the concert--on stage! In Spencer's own words, "It was so crazy! It went really well, the crowd loved it!"
We often hear stories of our luminaries going above and beyond, connecting with a fan and truly making dreams come true. It's not every day this happens, but when it does, it's music to our ears.
