Meals On Wheels of San Francisco

glassybaby was founded by Lee Rhodes, a three-time cancer survivor with a vision of launching a business devoted to the mission of giving. Her line of vibrantly colored glass votives is a favorite among interior designers, editors, Martha Stewart, and elegant hosts everywhere. Creating each glassybaby involves eight hands, 2000 degrees of focused heat, and a multi-layered glassblowing process. As a result, no two hues glow quite alike. Over the last 20 years, the company has donated over $4.7 million to charitable causes and in 2015, Lee established the White Light Fund, a 501c3 organization to assist glassybaby in its goal to promote hope and healing.

For Meriwether McGettigan, her eye for curating exquisite fine jewelry is only matched by her expansive knowledge of its history and craftsmanship. A graduate of the Gemological Institute of America, the expert gemologist is a gifted lecturer and a repeat guest speaker at the Antique Jewelry & Art Conference in New York. Meriwether owns an eponymous boutique in San Francisco’s Presidio Heights neighborhood, where you’ll find a treasure trove of estate pieces. Victorian and Art Deco jewels sit alongside scintillating works of art from Tiffany & Co., Cartier, Van Cleef & Arpels, and more. Her salon has been featured in Town & Country Travel, Robb Report, C Magazine, and other publications of note.

Better known as Concha for everyone, she is a rockstar of our times: professional, mother, and five more titles that she balances not without stress but with a lot of passion. She starts the brand for the love and pride she feels about the Mexican textile art and the desire to contribute to the development of communities of indigenous artisans in our country.

Fran, Creative Director

Francisco Cancino, “Fran” for friends, was born in Huitiupan, Chiapas, a small town northeast of the state. He grew up between the city and countryside, no TV but internet where he learned self-taught both visual arts and graphic design, and styling. Generous, curious, but mostly cartesian and rigorous, Francisco’s eyes discover a world within Mexico but also abroad. That is his most important paradox, Mexican root, Global birth.
