Michelle Slatalla is the editor-in-chief of Gardenista. Before signing on as Gardenista's founding editor, she was a weekly style columnist for The New York Times for 12 years, a contributing editor at Real Simple, and a lifestyle columnist at Time magazine. She has a B.A. in English and journalism from Indiana University and a M.A. in English literature from Columbia University. She is the author of six books, including the upcoming Gardenista: A Manual for Outdoor Living.
Julie Carlson is the editor-in-chief of Remodelista and oversees the Remodelista, LLC editorial group. An experienced editor and writer, she developed the original concept behind Remodelista, and is the author of the bestselling book Remodelista: Manual for the Considered Home.
