Eight Course Liquid Meal with a Cocktail Chef in Your Home
The Experience
Matthew is a cocktail chef who sources his ingredients from the Santa Monica Farmers Market and The Santa Monica Mountains. He will prepare in your home an eight-course liquid tasting menu that will include an amuse bouche such as cut up citrus with allspice liqueur and olive oil, the first course will consist of an alcoholic oyster. The second course is a wild arugula gimlet to a 17 step bloody mary and a candy cap mushroom egg nog with a celery root Saint Germain foam. This is a one of a kind of experience.
All of Matthew's work has to do with following the seasons and using local and unusual ingredients such as uni and balsamic vinegar. His first book, Eat Your Drink came out last spring and he recently hosted his first TV show for A&E called, "Good Spirits" where he traveled the world making cocktails. Matthew will also incorporate a lot of the global ingredients from his journey. No one is doing what he does. He infuses the alcohol and food world together and will leave you wanting more. Guests are responsible for providing the alcohol. Matthew will consult with you prior to the event to let you know which will be needed.
