Adventure Fishing for Legendary Dorado in Argentina
The crystal clear waters of Argentina hold some of the most exciting fishing adventures in the world, and you could experience their magic when you journey to the renowned Alto Parana Lodge on the legendary Parana River. Venture with your friends to the remote estate and discover the beautiful shores, sandbars, and islands that are home to the alluring golden dorado.
Achieve fly-fishing nirvana as you and your fellow anglers embark on twice-daily guided fishing expeditions to the Upper Parana River. As one of the main arteries of a vast basin, the area is home to a massive community of dorado, the beautifully golden and elegant fish that is world-famous for being one of the most prized catches among recreational anglers. Here you’ll encounter more dorado than you ever dreamed of, as well as other exotic species like the pira pitá and pacú.
All throughout your trip, Alto Parana will be your sanctuary. Built in 1800 and recently refurbished, Alto Parana Lodge is one of the most ancient estates in Corrientes Province. The renowned “estancia” extends from the Parana River all the way down to the Iberá Marshlands and is surrounded by an ambience of paradise with exuberant flora and fauna.
Here you’ll enjoy gourmet dining featuring traditional Argentinian cuisine, including fine wine, delicious desserts, and Argentina’s famed beef asados. Hit the dining room bar, take a dip in the swimming pool, and then gear up at your private fly shop equipped with flies, rods, reels, and apparel.
