Half Case of California's Most Celebrated 2005 Richard G. Peterson Brut Rosé
Richard G. Peterson, a pioneer of California wine since the '60s, continues to find joy in creating beautiful wines made from grapes grown on his personal estate in Yountville. Celebrate the legendary vintner's sparkling wine, lauded by the industry as Napa's answer to the great Champagne houses of the world. Often compared to Dom Perignon and Krug, Richard's 2005 sparkling rosé was awarded 94 points by critic Antonio Galloni, who noted its balance and "gorgeous textural depth and resonance" and concluded that it is "one of the most stylish sparkling wines I have tasted from California." Sparkling wine aficionados will also note its fine mousse, long dry finish, and intricate flavors of citrus, strawberries, brioche toast, and a hint of cardamom spice. Produced in the Méthode Champenoise, this effervescent elixir was aged seven years on the lees prior to disgorgement. Only 480 cases were produced. These rare and hand-signed bottles will be a unique and historical addition to any cellar.
